Our team has a private email bounce system that every parent and student is a part of, so that everyone stays informed. If you don’t have access to creating group emails through your school, creating a Google Group can help make this possible for your team at no cost.
We also hold Open Houses twice a year. This year, we gave out informational folders to every parent containing team guidelines, the benefits of being on our team, mentor information, and scholarship information.
To keep organized we have a Sharepoint, which is basically a private file sharing system that lets us upload team documents and photos so that other team members can see and use them. We also have a VERY large filing cabinet for our Public Relations info so that we can keep all important papers in one place.
Try following these tips to keep your team organized and your members, mentors, and parents involved and up to date. This becomes increasingly important as your Build Season progresses and is crucial when competition hits.
